99% of the time when I cook, my goal (besides making really delicious food) is to be quick and no fuss. I also like making things that my kids will enjoy because life is just easier that way.
Most kids I know love chicken fingers, and I think most adults like (love😍) them too. My husband and I sometimes joke that we had kids just so we could order chicken fingers at restaurants and not feel like we are children. Now we can eat half of their order and no one will know it was basically for us 🤗 Continue reading “Cashew Chicken Fingers”
I’m far from an expert barbecuer, BUT, when all my summer feelings come to surface☀️I try to be a grill master😊 …..well sort of, I admit that I’ve been known to lose focus when I have something cooking on the grill🤭 I sometimes can’t help but get side tracked because I’m usually making the rest of the meal, setting the table, probably doing some laundry, and often being the mediator between Cole and Luke before their disagreement turns into a throw down. So you tell me, who wouldn’t burn whatever’s on the barbie?! 😖 there is nothing more annoying than a burger that looks like a hockey puck🙄 Continue reading “Farro Grilled Greek Salad”
Good Morning! It’s another Monday and that has me thinking about the week ahead, and all the things on my “To-Do” list. I’m a list person, I llllove a list 🤗 I feel productive when I can check things off as I go through my day. Whether it’s a big task or little, time consuming or not, I feel like I’m getting-shit-done!
For the last while I’ve been adding one thing to my list that’s a little unrelated to my typical To-Do list jobs which are usually things like: write programs, call this person or that person, reply to emails, groceries, pick this and that up for the boys, book dentist appointments..…that sort of thing. Today is an exciting day! I’m officially launching my fitness and healthy lifestyle blog 🙂 This is something I’ve been working on for a while now, and thinking about for a whole lot longer. I’m excited to tell you about my journey, talk about what keeps me motivated, and share my ‘fit tips’ with you 😉
Why fitness and a healthy lifestyle? For me it makes life better. It feels good to be stronger, to have more energy and stamina, to be in control of how I shape my body, and to clear my mind and just be… That is a powerful thing. It’s hard to put into words all the things fitness has done for me. It’s been a constant part of me, and one of the few things in life I’ve learned that I can control. I love that it has spilled over into other parts of my life and I can share that with the people in my life, my kids and anyone who might be interested.
Finding what drives you is different for all of us but it’s important to be clear on what that is because that’s what will give you direction on your journey to staying motivated and committed. If you can do one thing for yourself, I think it should be taking care of your body and treating it well, because it’s the only one you’ve got.
